India’s Inland Waterways Authority taking majority stake in waterways SPV in Kerala

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) will take the majority equity in a Kerala’s waterways SPV, Kerala Waterways Infrastructures (KWIL), which has been formed to develop 610-km of waterways. KWIL’s mandate is to develop a West Coast Canal (WCC) at an investment of USD 329 million. WCC runs from Kollam to Kottapuram and was declared a National Waterway in 1993.
