Baltic States agree to launch jointly managed intermodal rail service

Estonia’s freight operator EVR Cargo, Latvia’s LDZ Logistika, and Lithuanian Railways have signed an agreement to launch an intermodal freight service called Amber Train. The intermodal service will enable the transhipment of containers to standard-gauge trains and provide a fast and reliable rail freight connection between western and northern Europe.
