Japan and Russia to launch cargo transportation route via Trans-Siberian Railway

Russia and Japan will jointly develop a rail cargo transport route via the 9,289 kilometer-long Trans-Siberian Railway, thus opening the third distribution channel between the two countries after sea and air routes. The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest railway line in the world which connects Moscow with the Russian Far East clocking a travel time of seven days.
