India’s recent relaxation of the cabotage law has helped boost transshipment from Indian ports and would help expand business opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs in the coastal and inland shipping sectors. In May this year, the shipping ministry took a policy decision to allow foreign-registered vessels to transport containers between Indian ports.
